Women in the Birmingham area now have a comforting, stress-free place to be seen for female-specific issues. Starting in September, we are proud to announce the opening of the UCA Women’s Center. The team, which includes board certified urologists and urogynecologists, Dr. Nicole Massie, Dr. Paula Rookis, and Dr. Ali Parden, provide services specializing in the care of various female urological, sexual function, and pelvic floor conditions.
The UCA Women’s Center, located at 3125 Independence Drive in Homewood, will focus on urological issues including, but are not limited to:
- Pelvic Pain
- Pelvic Organ Prolapse
- Urinary Incontinence
- Stress Incontinence
- Overactive Bladder
- Vaginal Disorders
- Urinary Tract Infections
- Fecal Incontinence
- Sexual Dysfunction
Dr. Nicole Massie, Dr. Ali Parden, and Dr. Paula Rookis bring decades of collective years of experience to the UCA Women’s Center.
While we do have a well-earned reputation for treating women, we are excited to now have a dedicated space located in Homewood, Alabama. We know this has been an underserved area in the past and are very excited to have three female physicians and a nurse practitioner who will primarily focus on the urologic needs of our female patients.
Our new UCA Women’s Center is the first of its kind in Birmingham that can diagnose, evaluate and treat a wide range of conditions that specifically affect women’s pelvic health.
