On Wednesday, August 15th, the physicians and staff of Urology Centers of Alabama held an appreciation dinner for the staff and current patients at the American Cancer Society Joe Lee Griffin Hope Lodge in Birmingham, Alabama.

The Hope Lodge is a “home away from home” for patients who live over 40 miles from their treatment locations in Birmingham. In addition to lodging, the Hope Lodge provides food and transportation for patients undergoing cancer treatment.

Urology Centers of Alabama treats a large number of cancer patients each year and has numerous patients who stay at the lodge while undergoing cancer treatments. We appreciate everything they do for our patients.

The Hope Lodge in Birmingham opened their doors in January 2000 and is one of more than 20 Hope Lodges for cancer patients across the United States. The Hope Lodge of Birmingham is located in the Five Points area of the city at 1104 Ireland Way.
